Boo! A Monster Musical
Boo! A Monster Musical
Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts Lobby
71 E. Main St.
Patchogue
631-207-1313

October 26, 2014 at 2 pm and 4pm
For kids of all ages! $10.00 admission for children and adults alike, including a non-alcoholic beverage at the bar. Tickets day of show or call 207-1313 to reserve. Seating is limited; doors open 1/2 hour prior to performance.

Kids of all ages, join us for this interactive concert revival of Boo! A Monster Musical, a special presentation of The New Musicals Project at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts.

With a script by Norhport native Joe Pospisil and songs by Patchogue’s Howard Beckerman, the musical Boo! was commissioned by the Central Park Conservancy and performed as “Halloween at Belvedere” outdoors at Belvedere Castle for four Halloweens in Central Park. This Patchogue revival of the show is a “Live in the Lobby” event and includes time for the children to meet and speak with the cast of comic actors after each performance. Come in costume if you wish!

Our story begins when eleven-year-old Harold Owen Ween sets out on a mission to stop the “World Holiday Commission” from cancelling the Halloween holiday—they say because of low candy and costume sales. During his travels, Hal meets a trio of recently unemployed and good-natured monsters whose very livelihood depends on the survival of Halloween. It isn’t long before they join Hal and the audience on their quest to save the holiday from extinction.

Another production of “The New Musicals Project,” a cooperative venture between The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts and Worldwide Voices, both Not-For-Profit 501(c)(3) organizations.
