2013 Kwanzaa Celebration
Uniondale Public Library
400 Uniondale Avenue
The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Long Island Chapter Inc., invites you to our 2013 Kwanzaa Celebration, “It Takes a Village to Educate a Child”.
This FREE annual event is an affirmation of the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa featuring reflections by local nonprofit, government, and community leaders and is presented to the community as a special holiday gift. The event will feature special performances by the Uniondale High School Show Choir and Venettes Cultural Workshop. Join us as we gather together to collectively reaffirm a spirit of faith, family, and culture.
This holiday season, giving to those in need is the greatest gift. Donations of school supplies (pencils, notebooks, etc.) will be accepted at the event for distribution to Millennium Sistahs in Uniondale and the Gerald Ryan Outreach Center in Wyandanch.
Also, please join us in celebrating the true spirit of Kwanzaa by choosing to dress in traditional African attire.
This event will take place on Wednesday, December 11th, 7pm at the Uniondale Public Library, Theatre at 400 Uniondale Avenue in Uniondale.
